If you haven’t been excited about Liars forthcoming LP Sisterworld, now would be a good time to kick into excitement mode. This new video features strange, stranded-at-sea metaphors and flying rocks, but somehow, it works for the song. Stream it below:
Look for Sisterworld to come out on March 9 via Mute Records.
Liars must have earned the respect of nearly every important figure in the music industry. On their upcoming album, Sisterworld (due March 9) they have recruited some major names in music to do remixes for each of the 11 tracks. They have not leaked the names of everyone involved, but so far, we can expect remixes or reinterpretations from Thom Yorke, Blonde Redhead, Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), Melvins, Bradford Cox (Deerhunter/Atlas Sound), synth punk pioneer Alan Vega (Suicide), and legendary provocateurs Chris & Cosey (Throbbing Gristle).
Liars frontman Angus Andrew talked to Prefix Magazine a bit about the project. “[The collaborators] were asked to ‘re-interpret’ the song by any means necessary and the result is definitely the most exciting collaborative effort we’ve been involved in,” he said.
The remix album will be part of an expanded edition of Sisterworld, which is a two-disc set (disc one will be the main Sisterworld album, and disc two will be the remix disc). They will release a single on February 16 called “Scissor,” which you can download here from the Liars website.

As you’re no doubt aware, indie rockers Liars are releasing a new LP, Sisterworld, through Mute Records on March 9, 2010. The new album’s opener, “Scissor”, was leaked yesterday onto gorillavsbear, and is now available for free download on their site.
It starts off otherworldly and Bon Iver-y before becoming noisy. Typically Liars, anyhow.
Check it out here.
It appears that the three-piece experiment group Liars have something up their sleeves. It appears that today the Liars Myspace page has been updated with new artwork and several link to thesisterworld.com. Upon visiting the site you’ll see the same artwork and be able to watch some pretty abstract videos. Clicking upon the text ‘SISTERWORLD’ will forward you to the official Liars website.

Okay, so I lied last week. One day off isn’t too bad.
