In what is probably the biggest (and nicest) surprise of the day (possibly the week) Kanye West announced earlier via Twitter that he was about to release a new 5 song album/EP recorded by himself and Jay-Z entitled Watch the Throne. You can check out “Monster,” the second track from the EP, which features Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and randomly Bon Iver, as well as Jay and Ye, below.

Hopefully the other four tracks will be released tonight, so keep your eyes on Twitter.
The remix of “Power” has both Yeezy and Jeezy providing brand new verses and eventually segueing into Snap!’s “The Power” and calling out Axl Rose along the way. It’s pretty great so give it a listen below.

Kanye West’s upcoming LP, possibly entitled My Dark Twisted Fantasy, is due out November 16th.

Moments ago, Jay-Z and Eminem appeared on ESPN’s Wednesday Night Baseball matcup between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park to announce a pair of stadium shows this Fall. The pair will perform in Detroit at Comerica Park on Sept. 2, and in New York at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 13. According to Jay-Z, he will headline the New York show and Eminem will headline the Detroit show. Ticket information will be announced soon.

Taio Cruz: First timer
Taio Cruz scored his first number one single this week with Break Your Heart, according to the Official UK Charts Company. Pixie Lott drops to six after just one week at the summit, while David Guetta stays strong at number two with Akon-featured Sexy Bitch. Madonna can only manage a new entry into position three, despite jumping on the dance-electro bandwagon by roping in producer Paul Oakenfold, who still hasn’t written a good song since he dropped Balaeric anthem Southern Sun in 2002.
Meanwhile, in the album charts, rock trio Muse have hit the number one spot for the third consecutive time with The Resistance, despite critical reviews, showing Britain hasn’t tired of overblown space rock just yet. Reality star Peter Andre impressively beats out Jay-Z, who debuts at a disappointing number four with Blueprint 3, while old timers Vera Lynn and Mark Knopfler keep the dream alive with placings in the top ten, the former who became the oldest artist to ever score a number one album, when We’ll Meet Again reached the summit last week.
