Camera Obscura tour dates announced for U.S. and Mexico

British record label 4AD has recently announced an April tour for the Scottish indie pop band Camera Obscura. We can’t quite call it a full North American tour, as they will not be visiting Canada this time. They will spend the month trekking throughout the U.S. and Mexico, likely performing in light of their 2009 album, My Maudlin Career, which did quite well on “Best of 2009″ lists in the music world. In fact, it ranked number 11 on the year-end list here at onethirtybpm.

Fans in the Pacific and Europe can expect some presence from Camera Obscura a little before April, as their label disclosed. “They are playing two shows in Indonesia this March and a one-off show in Portugal in late-February.” Tour dates have also been planned for New Zealand, Australia, and Japan, but they have not yet been announced.

Strangely, some songs you really don't want to write.

I'm not afraid of computers taking over the world. They're just sitting there. I can hit them with a two by four.
