Here’s video fresh from the show last night at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. The band had been sound-checking the song at other cities but it finally saw its premiere last night.
Atoms For Peace are finishing off their brief United States tour this weekend at Coachella. Be sure to check them out if at the show.
Here’s the new track that Thom played at the Monday night Atoms For Peace show (more media and a live review to follow). The track has been called “Let Me Take Control” by fans, but allegedly the name on the setlist read “Chris Hodge.”
Will we be seeing this track on the upcoming Radiohead album? We’ll see…
MP3: Thom Yorke – “Chris Hodge”
UPDATE: According to a setlist from the band’s rep the track is titled “A Walk Down the Staircase.”
Thanks Simon.
UPDATE 2: We have reason to believe that the band are referring to the track as “Chris Hodge.” The name was spotted by several concert-goers on Thom’s setlist, and some even overheard Nigel referring to the track as “Chris Hodge.”
You probably knew this already, but Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has another band. That band was just enigmatically known as Thom Yorke ????–until today. Now, we can finally start ascribing a name to Yorke’s side project, which is officially Atoms for Peace, named after a track on The Eraser, his solo album from 2006.
Turns out, with a new band name comes a few U.S. tour dates in/around major cities, along with their Coachella date in April. Instrumental hip-hop artist Flying Lotus will be opening for the band on all non-Coachella dates.
