FREE Radiohead concert film to download or stream

If there wasn’t already enough proof that Radiohead fans are the most dedicated on the planet, this new DVD puts the case to rest.

Last August the band did a small tour to put the final cap on the In Rainbows era, which included the Reading and Leeds festivals but more importantly in this case a date at Výstaviště, Bruselská Cesta in Prague in the Czech Republic. Thousands of fans descended on the venue and several of them were armed with their camera, determined to film the band from seemingly every possible angle.

Over the year since the gig the videos have finally all been cut and edited together and synchronised with the official soundboard audio from the show that was donated by the band for the project. The results are nothing short of exceptional and the creators can be extremely proud.

The best part for the rest of us is that they are giving it away completely free! You can check out the credits and the multiple downloading options by heading to the official website, or if you prefer you can stream the whole thing in standard quality or HD by heading to the extremely well organised YouTube page.

Video: Chris Martin premieres new Coldplay song “Wedding Bells” at Apple Keynote Speech

Coldplay have been uncharacteristically quiet of late. Since they finished their world tour of Viva La Vida we’ve heard barely a peep from them. Well, after Steve Jobs finished his keynote speech today he introduced Chris Martin who performed a short set of Coldplay songs, including this new one called “Wedding Bells.”

In the time honoured tradition of Coldplay love songs it’s a piano ballad with Martin professing how he’ll always love the unnamed recipient of this song. Check it out below, even if it’s just for the Coldplay x Apple jokes he cracks at the start.

At the keynote speech Jobs unvelied the new ipod nano touch, and more interestingly a new social network/music logging system called Ping that is built into the new iTunes 10. Check out more details about Ping on Gizmodo.

Yeasayer unveil video for “Madder Red” starring Kristen Bell

Yeasayer have unleashed the video for their new single “Madder Red” which, with “Ambling Alp” and “O.N.E.”, makes a trilogy of fantastic and bizarre videos from their second album Odd Blood. This one demonstrates the extent to which Yeasayer’s popularity has risen over the past year; they have managed to snag Hollywood starlet Kristen Bell to star in it.

Bell looks as adorable as ever looking after her giant skull, blob, thing as it suffers. She also finds time to fit in an audition of some sort. For now you can only check out the clip at either The Guardian or Pitchfork.

Video: Admiral Radley – “I Heart California”

Grandaddy fans rejoice. It’s been almost five years since the California-based band fell by the wayside, and while leading man Jason Lytle has been doing the solo thing in the meantime, it’s still a relief to report that Lytle, along with former Grandaddy drummer Aaron Burtch, Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray (both of Earlimart fame) have joined forces to create a new musical crew, otherwise known as Admiral Radley (or, more intimately, Ad Rad).

Ad Rad’s first record, I Heart California, was released last month, and with it came a pleasingly absurd music video for the album’s title track. It’s essentially a montage of clips that pay homage to the wonders of California, highlights including: outrageous breast implants, nice looking forests and beaches, security camera footage of earthquakes, and a weight-lifting Arnold Schwarzenegger who shows up whenever the chorus kicks in.

Even better? The whole video is done in karaoke style with lyrics trolling along the bottom of the frame so that you and your pals can sing along to the self-described “loose and enjoyable” sounds of Admiral Radley’s piano fuzz-pop while your eyes feast on all that California has to offer. I’m kinda starting to heart California, too.

Videos: Desaparecidos reunion show and new Bright Eyes song

Conor Oberst has always been a busy man. If he isn’t writing, recording or touring with Bright Eyes he’s undoubtedly working on another project. In the last three years he has released a solo album, an album with the Mystic Valley Band and one with the super-group Monsters Of Folk. But back way before that he also recorded a post punk album under the name Desaparecidos.

They released one album Read Music/Speak Spanish in 2001 as well as a few other non-album tracks here and there. They toured into 2002 and then, as their name suggested, they disappeared.

Well on Saturday in their hometown of Omaha they reappeared to perform once more at Saddle Creek Records’ ‘Concert For Equality’.

Check out a couple of videos from the show below

Video: Desaparecidos – “Greater Omaha” (Live at ‘Concert For Equality’, July 31st 2010)

Video: Desaparecidos – “Hole In One” (Live at ‘Concert For Equality’, July 31st 2010)

The concert was to raise awareness and gain support against the Fremont Law in Nebraska, which would make it illegal to employ or rent to illegal immigants. Oberst has been one of the most outspoken opposers of the anti-illegal immigration policy in Arizona so it is unsurprising that he helped to organise and performed at this.

Oberst also performed at the event with Bright Eyes, who have been mostly dormant for the last three years whilst he has been off exploring other outlets, so it’s great to see this project back together too. A new video and song are definitely on the way from them (we had a teaser here) and hopefully an album and tour in the near future. In fact Oberst played the new song, entitled “Coyote Song” at the show and you can watch that below.

Video: Tobacco – “Grape Aerosmith” (feat. Beck)

Are you an office zombie who dreams of one day being massacred with silly string? Well then Tobacco‘s newest mind-melting video is for you. “Grape Aerosmith” is one of the better cuts off of one of the best albums of the year, Maniac Meat. This post also serves as a surrogate for me to post a ridiculously silly mash up by recent tour mates the Hood Internet.
