Kanye West’s upcoming LP, possibly entitled My Dark Twisted Fantasy, is due out November 16th.

Woah! According to Weezer’s guitarist Brian Bell, a Pinkerton tour might be on its way.

Bell was interviewed at the Mile High Music Festival, and discussed the new album Hurley, and the Pinkerton reissue which will include new packaging and possibly a tour.

We’re certainly excited by the possibility. Although we here at One Thirty BPM have been disappointed by Weezer’s recent efforts, we still love Pinkerton and can’t knock Weezer’s great live performance, especially when drummer Josh Freese was brought onto last year’s Blink-182/Weezer tour. Regardless if Freese returns for any future tours, a Pinkerton tour would truly be something.

Could Lupe be on the verge of leaking his new album Lasers? After a long and ongoing dispute with Atlantic Records, this may actually become a reality. Check back for updates. We’ll be keeping our eyes open.

It should also be noted that last night he leaked a snippet of the new track “Go To Sleep” via his Twitter account.

No Age will be releasing the follow-up to 2008′s Nouns, entitled Everything in Between on September 28th via Sub Pop. But you don’t have to wait until then to hear some new No Age tunes. As previously reported, Sub Pop is putting out 7″ and 12″ versions of album’s first single “Glitter” on August 24th. To build up the anticipation, they’ve released a stream of both the single and the 7″ b-side “Inflorescence.” Sub Pop have also been kind enough to make “Glitter” a free download.

Could this be a glimpse into the future of hip hop? It certainly is a progression of the genre; exactly what Rufat is setting out to do. Whether it be on rhyming over the dream pop melodies of Blind Man’s Colour (a sneak peak into a full length collaboration with our very own Chromatic Flights) or on the brand new electronica-driven “They See Us,” it’s clear that genre diffusion is Rufat’s game, and he’s killing it.

Crushing news from the Battles camp. On the official Warp site, Battles have announced that guitarist/vocalist Tyondai Braxton will be leaving the band.

“Battles and Tyondai would like to let their fans know they have chosen to follow their own musical paths.

Due to Battles’ ambitions of finishing their second studio album followed by commitments to a full touring schedule in 2011, and Tyondai’s own commitments as a solo artist and his desire not to tour, both Battles and Tyondai have decided to move on without each other.

It is a sad but amicable split.

Tyondai later responded with a statement of his own:

“At this time, Battles and I have decided to amicably part ways. Suffice to say I am leaving a group that is responsible for some of the most defining experiences in my life.

Aside from making great music for 8 years together John, Ian, Dave and I have been family. We have experienced together what it’s like to start a band and have it blossom into something beyond our wildest dreams and I’m incredibly proud of all we have accomplished.

I know for a fact that this is just a new beginning for Battles. Our model has always had a controlled shapelessness to it and I know John, Ian and Dave are looking forward sculpting an even better way forward.
I look forward to be able to continue my music and am very excited at the prospect of being able to dig deeper in my own work.

This comes as a surprise because the band’s forthcoming second album was supposedly almost completed. This announcement may also explain the cancellation of their NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge.

Yes, we’ve broken out the rare WTF tag for this post. In an interview with Vibe, hip-hop producer and rapper Dr. Dre revealed that he’s been wanting to make an instrumental album about our solar system called The Planets. Just take it from the man himself below.

An instrumental album is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I have the ideas for it. I want to call it The Planets. I don’t even know if I should be saying this, but fuck it. [Laughs.] It’s just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like. I’m gonna go off on that. Just all instrumental. I’ve been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet. I’ve been doing this for about two years now just in my spare time so to speak. I wanna do it in surround sound. It’ll have to be in surround sound for Saturn to work.

Take this to the bank: this album will be out before Detox.

Admit it! If you’re reading this post there’s a pretty good chance that you downloaded Les Savy Fav’s latest album Root for Ruin way ahead of it’s initial September 14th release date (I sure did). And if you’ve done so, then hopefully you felt guilty and donated to the band on their website possibly after seeing their humorous Twitter page and before applying the clever alternative artwork to your MP3s (God knows I should have, sorry Tim).

The band have now decided to push up the release of the album. Root for Ruin will now be available on iTunes tomorrow, August 3rd, in North America. Physical copies will be available shortly thereafter through Frenchkiss. Do the right thing folks and make sure the band gets their due whether it be through a donation, a preorder/download, or through the purchase of a physical copy. After all, they have handled this situation pretty well. I for one will be will be anticipating downloading my legitimate copy through iTunes tomorrow morning.

Avey Tare hasn’t really been known to release music outside of Animal Collective. 2007′s backwards album Pullhair Rubeye was a collaboration with his wife Kría Brekkan; this time around he’s releasing his first true solo album.

Down There, due out October 26th, was recorded in the month of June by Josh Dibb (Deakin of Animal Collective) at the Good House, an antiquated church in upstate New York.

There is an additional option of paying $2 to get the HD package, which adds options for lossless audio (24-bit 44.1kHz WAV and 16-bit FLAC and Apple Lossless) and the music video for “The Space in Between” in 1080p Quicktime.
