Update: New Pixies album boxset entitled Minotaur due out June 15th

Pixies - Minotaur

I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, but apparently this is going to be announced tomorrow.

Apparently A+R, aka Artists in Residence is a design collective dedicated to producing high end music and art packages. They’re the guys responsible for the Nine Inch Nails Ghosts I-IV deluxe editions amongst other high-quality box sets.

Perhaps it’s just a box set of old material or just live performances, but I guess we’ll know for sure tomorrow.

UPDATE: Pixies Minotaur Is Just a Box Set

Prefixmag reports:

The Deluxe Edition will retail for $175 and feature the five albums on layered CD and Blu-ray, plus a bonus DVD of the band’s 1991 Brixton Academy performance, plus all of thier music videos, and a 54 page art book. The Limited Edition will set you back 400 clams (that’s right $400) which includes the Deluxe Edition materials, plus the five albums on vinyl, a print of Oliver’s artwork, and a 72 page book.
